Fault location of distribution network with DG based on Sooty Tern algorithm

Distribution network fault location is a necessary step to restore power supply. However, the access of distributed generation DG leads to great challenges for traditional fault location methods. In this paper, the Sooty Tern algorithm is proposed to complete the fault location of distribution network, and the idea of chaos operator is introduced to improve the black tern algorithm. In order to produce high-quality population, chaotic sequence is added, and the classical 33-node network is adopted as the model. matlab2018b is used to simulate the example. The results show that the fault location of distribution network can be realized, and it has the characteristics of good stability, high accuracy, fast convergence.
