Carbon Emission Reduction Benefits considering the Coordinated Dispatching of EVs and Wind power

Developping electric vehicle(EV) and renewable energy is a significant step to cut CO2 emissions. Based on the coordinated dispatching model of EVs charging and wind power, the calculation method of carbon emission is proposed, and the carbon emission reduction benefits under coordinated dispatching are quantitatively analyzed. First, the carbon emission factors of thermal units are analyzed, and then the carbon emissions levels under the coordinated/non-coordinated dispatching modes are compared. Through the calculation method of CO2 emission of EVs, the CO2 emission under different modes such as free charging, and charging by coordinated dispatching are studied. Finally, the benchmark carbon emission level of in China power grid is taken as the measurement means. The research result shows that the carbon emission reduction benefits contributed by coordinated dispatching compared with free charging mode increase significantly as the installed capacity of wind power increases. Therefore, collaborative scheduling is an effective means to achieve coordinated large-scale utilization of EVs and wind power.
