Comparison of Dynamic Mathematical Model for Additive and Differential Modulation Brushless Doubly-Fed Machines

Brushless doubly-fed machine (BDFM) is widely concerned and studied due to its sturdy construction and high reliability. The lack of comparative studies of BDFM with additive and differential modulation limits the design and selection of BDFM for different applications. Therefore, the operation characteristics and the dynamic mathematical model of BDFM with additive and differential modulation are compared and analyzed in this paper. In addition, the operation characteristics and the dynamic mathematical model is verified through simulation. This provides an important reference for the subsequent industry promotion of BDFM.
