Adjustable Space Modeling and Real-time Optimal Control of Virtual Power Plant

The regulation capacity of virtual power plants (VPPs) under different resource aggregation is different, which makes it difficult for virtual power plants to participate in auxiliary service decision-making, and even affects the safe and reliable operation of power grid. Therefore, when VPPs aggregate and manage controllable loads with large number of items and obvious differences in response performance, they need to consider not only the power characteristics of controllable loads, but also the compatibility of the time domain response performance of controllable loads with different auxiliary service requirements. Based on this, this paper proposes a modeling method for the adjustable space of the VPP. First, it quantifies the response characteristics of the internal resources of the VPP, then establishes the analysis model of the thermal security region (THSR) in the multi-dimensional space, and finally constructs the visualization method of the adjustable space of the VPP represented by the two-dimensional planar graph to provide technical support for the control and decision-making of the power grid operation scheduling.
