Structural parameters of the lower swing arm multiobjective optimization based on the NSGAII genetic algorithm

A multi-objective optimization model was established to improve the forming mechanical properties of the lower swing arm structure by analyzing typical working conditions of an automobile. The model aimed to minimize stress and displacement while optimizing mass. The upper and lower plates of the swing arm, as well as the thickness of the front and rear point bushings, were selected as the design variables.Process parameters were obtained using the Box-Behnken response surface method, and the objective function was calculated through numerical simulation. Combining the Kriging model and NSGAII genetic algorithm, a proxy model was established to map the relationship between design variables and the objective function, leading to optimal results. The results showed a 35% reduction in maximum equivalent stress, a 23.3% reduction in maximum deformation, and a 10

reduction in mass of the lower swing arm compared to the original design.
