A compact UWB Monopole Antenna for GPS, LTE and Satellite application with Hybrid Polarization

This work demonstrates a novel UWB Compact printed monopole antenna. A closed-loop radiator with a hexagonal structure is used for designing the monopole antenna. Microstrip feed technique is used for input to the monopole patch (printed-monopole-antenna). The design is printed on FR4 substrate with a ground plane extended along the feed line only. A UWB Band is obtained with a frequency band of 1.41GHZ to 5.71 GHz. Throughout the band S-Parameter is below -10dB, VSWR is in the range of 1-2. Usability of the proposed antenna are for all updated wireless applications that include G P S (Global-Positioning-System), L T E (Long-Term-Evolution), and Satellite Applications. The demonstrated antenna is suitable for defense use cases as some non-commercial frequency bands are used there.
