Abstract:
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) has the potential to revolutionize the way conflicts are resolved. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive examination of the intersection of AI and ODR and its potential to provide faster, more efficient, and cost-effective solutions for parties involved in disputes. Through an assessment of the benefits and limitations of AI in ODR, we aim to contribute to the ongoing discussion surrounding the role of technology in the legal industry. We discuss the extent to which AI can intervene in ODR, the possibility of automating the process, and the challenges and recommendations for integrating AI in ODR. Our analysis highlights the importance of balancing the benefits of AI in dispute resolution with concerns surrounding accountability and transparency. We conclude that while there are challenges to overcome, the potential benefits of AI in ODR are substantial, and careful consideration of its integration is crucial for the future of conflict resolution.
