Design of Low power and High-Performance Decoder Using Carbon Nanotube Field Effect Transistor (CNTFET)

This article includes mixed-logic circuit design with the use of CNTFET technology for mixed logic line decoders with DVL and base CMOS logic has been introduced. The conventional 20T 2to 4 decoder has been implemented with the CNTFET technology. Moreover, two other configurations are also implemented and scrutinized with 14T and 15T. The 14T structure provides the benefits of reduce transistor count and power. The 15T structure gives the advantage of low delay. CNTFET becomes the excellent structure to replace the conventional MOSFET structures. The short channel effects are reduced in CNTFET as compared to conventional MOSFET. The results of the decoders are compared with the conventional MOSFET which shows improvement in delay and power dissipation. The 14T decoder structure exhibits an excellent performance as compared to its counterpart. The HSPICE simulator is used for carried out the simulation at 32nm technology node.
