An IoT-based duplex mode Remote Health Monitoring System

The most essential factor to consider in comparison to other needs since the beginning of human evolution is health. Human health needs to be conditioned physically, psychologically, and socially. Apart from this, the normal state of body function can be disrupted by diseases, infections, biological hereditary conditions, bad habits, infirmity, etc. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and its serious effects on healthcare, physiological issues, insufficient medical infrastructure, and other factors. So, attention to medical assistance is taken due to these disruptions. When adding to the technological advancements in medical science RPM comes into the picture. This study showcases the use of RPM where WSNs are connected wirelessly using WBAN to measure significant health parameters such as patient's temperature, heartbeat, pulse rate, and pressure level in remote mode anywhere anytime. In addition, a MEMS sensor connected with the other sensors serves as a motion tracking sensor to monitor the patient's physical state while they are alone. By lack of response of physical movements immediate medical assistance is sent to the patient's location using a GPS module. By creating an autonomous biomedical monitoring system these sensors are connected wirelessly to a Wi- Fi module and further, these sensor values are recorded to a medical server using wireless communication in the cloud. And by using LoRa technology working under the IoT platform it promotes the feature of two modes described as a duplex mode in this system. The values are shown on an LCD and a buzzer connected to the model acts as an alert system to the other side of the monitoring system. Medical practitioners can view and analyze their patient's conditions, and telemedicine is given as required.
