The Power Optimization of mm Wave Circular Array Antenna for 5G Communications

5G network requires large link capacity and minimal latency. mm wave technology i.e., waves having very short wavelength is widely used in 5G. These high frequency signals suffer from attenuation as signals tend to travel along the surface of traces. Signal attenuation can be mitigated by increasing the gain of the antenna. The project propounds the design implementation of a
$4\times 4$
circular patch array antenna tuned at a frequency range of 24.35 to 28.5GHz which is the ideal range for mm wave. Usage of this antenna helps to reduce interference and improves signal quality. The designed antenna resulted a return loss and is observed to be −22 dB making it ideal for real time applications.
