Non-Isolated High Voltage Conversion Ratio Soft-Switched Interleaved Bidirectional DC-DC Converter with Low Voltage stress on Switches

In this paper, a soft-switched non-isolated high voltage gain interleaved bidirectional dc-dc converter with low voltage stress on switches for battery storage systems is presented. In hybrid energy storage systems, there should be a conversion unit with a wide conversion ratio to be the interface circuit in these systems. The proposed converter has the features of common ground between its input and output terminals along with the low input current ripples and a large range of voltage gain which makes it suitable for storage cells and supercapacitors. The switching pattern of the proposed converter is interleaved which causes the input current and voltage stress to be inherently low. Unlike the conventional interleaved converters, the proposed converter is able to provide the same conversion ratio for the whole range of duty cycles. The theoretical analysis of the proposed converter is reconfirmed through the experimental results.
