An Exploration of Holographic Scenarios in 6G Networks

With the rapid development of 6G research and the guarantee of 6G network performance, the research on holographic technology has become extensive and rich. In this paper, we mainly focus on the application scenarios of holographic technology under 6G network. Through the statistics of 6G-related white papers, we understand the current development of holographic communication. A large number of holographic communication related scenarios are collected and devised. And we identify the scenarios that are important for holographic. Through many researches of holographic communication, these application scenarios are roughly divided into five categories, which are classified as: immersive sensory, intelligent interaction, information display, remote connection, and precision assistance. Typical scenarios in the classification are listed, and their performance parameters such as bandwidth, time delay, reliability, and accuracy are analyzed. The changing trend of future holographic communication scenarios are summarized.
