High Isolation 2-Element MIMO for WLAN/Sub-6GHz (n77, n78 and n79) 5G Applications

In this paper, we discuss efficient antenna techniques in the sub-6GHz range with the use of wide band (WB) principle and to design the compact antennas for wireless access points. In addition to providing wider bandwidth, high data transmission at low power levels and a distinct radiation pattern, unique design approach and ease in fabrication is preferred. In order to achieve the desired antenna size, reduction in mutual coupling and improvement in the correlation coefficient (ECC must be below 0.5) and improved parameters of MIMO performance within acceptable ranges. This paper investigates the role of single-element MIMO with optimized structure consists of partial ground of dimension $(\mathbf{Wg} \times \mathbf{Lg})\ \mathbf{2}\times \mathbf{12}\ \mathbf{mm}^{\mathbf{2}}$ and substrate $\mathbf{12}\times \mathbf{18}\ \mathbf{mm}^{\mathbf{2}}\ (\mathbf{W}\times \mathbf{L})$ with the integration of 5G services for portable devices. The asymmetrical patch and feed point principle is used for the implementation of 2-element multiple MIMO array with structure of dimension $(\mathbf{W}\ \times\ \mathbf{L})\ \mathbf{36}\times \mathbf{18}\ \mathbf{mm}^{\mathbf{2}}$. The -10 dB frequency range of 3.1 to 5.6 GHz is achieved along with increase in gain. A number of MIMO parameters were measured such as correlation coefficient, Isolation among neighbouring patches, several gain components and other performance parameter in today's wireless communication technology. Since, the transition from SISO (Single Input Single Output) to MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) occurred last century.
