Non-Invasive Foetal Electrocardiogram (ECG) Extraction Using Abdominal Electrocardiogram of the Mother

The health of unborn children is an area that needs to be protected if humanity is to have a brighter future. The goal of this effort is to improve the health of the unborn child by allowing for the extraction of the foetal ECG for growth and development monitoring purposes. Poor performance could be the result of respiratory noise, baseline wander, etc., when just minimal pre-processing has been applied to the signal. Therefore, a windowed zero mean method has been investigated and validated as a straightforward means of removing noise such as baseline wandering during the pre-processing stage. An additional need that may arise is the need to retrieve ECG data from several foetuses. As a result, this study proposes a method for extracting the fECG from mothers with cardiac illness who are carrying twins or more and compiles the resulting data. Overall, the suggested study activity did an excellent job of laying the groundwork for future work in this area by investigating the potential for fECG extraction in all necessary directions.
