Parametric Analysis of Nanoscale Memristor based Multipliers

Nanoscale memristive systems are one of the cutting-edge technologies that have a lot of potential. The memristors are known for their distinctive I-V pinched hysteresis loop with switching mechanism and for their capacity to remember its previous state. A wide range of applications can get benefitted from the usage of memristors because of its high speed, low power consumption, passive memory retention, and ease of construction. Multiplier is one such application as it is one of the most important building blocks in majority of accumulators, ALUs, and signal processing modules. Memristors are used here as the basic building block of the multiplier. A greater emphasis is placed on the design of quick multipliers as latency and power are the key concerns. As per the survey Vedic multiplier is found to be one of the fastest multipliers, hence for our analysis memristor is used in two different logics to implement the Vedic multiplier. Proposed work is simulated using the Xilinx ISE tool, the performance parameters such as delay, power consumption are analyzed.
