Performance Improvement of Solar Cell using Modified Boost Converter

A boosting DC-DC converter’s ultimate objective is to transform a low DC voltage into a greater DC voltage. This paper proposes the designing of two different converters one is the improved DC-DC upheave converter and another is the normal DC-DC upheave converter. Comparison is done between voltage that is generated from the normal boost converter to improved boost converter and energy extraction efficiency is improved. the solar power oscillates with the sunlight’s powerfulness in order to make the comparison more effective, in the closed environment the solar panel is provided with the artificial indoor light source. The system’s performance is researched using MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation. After completing the simulation study, the same will be implemented in hardware and performance of both the traditional and enhanced boost converter is studied.
