Abstract:

The article deals with the challenges caused by formation of professional expectations of Bauman Moscow State Technical University students as future specialists in the context of human capital requirements. It is shown that exponential rates of both technological and economic changes, based on human qualities, form absolutely new demands for knowledge, skills, and abilities of young specialists entering the labor market. The time spent studying at the university becomes an important factor for the human capital accumulation in the sought-after competence profile of future specialists. Based on the conducted sociological research, the study results show that in some cases there may be various solutions, and the topic remains far from exhausted, especially in higher education. High social positions and social mobility in the modern world ensure a good level of professional training and the potential of the individual and its social valence, which are associated with the human capital concept.
