Use of temporal variance for moving object extraction

A technique for moving object detection and extraction is presented. The method is based on registration of a sequence of moving images followed by a temporal variance measurement. It is very suitable for systolic array machines and can be implemented efficiently. The result of applying these algorithms to a sequence of real data is presented.<
