A Numerical Approach for Estimating Radiated Emission of Shielded PCBs

This paper presents equivalent surface dipoles based on near-field to far-field transformations for estimating the radiated emissions for PCBs placed inside shielded enclosures. The objective is to estimate fields without the geometrical details of either the PCB or its shielded enclosures. The numerical results quantified in terms of mean square error demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed method. The proposed approach generated far-field is further validated against the commercial electromagnetic solvers.
