The Research on High Proportion Wind Power Integration in China’s Power System

The energy crisis has promoted the rapid development of large-scale new energy grid integration. China is to promote the renewable energy integration. However, the deviation between the distribution of renewable power resources and the load center causes a series of grid integration problems, so it is necessary to evaluate the renewable energy resources and their impact on the energy system. This paper systematically reviews the onshore wind resources in mainland China, and analyzes the internal resource composition of the wind power based interconnected power system. The fast unit commitment technology is used to establish the time series production simulation model of power system, and thermal power units, energy storage system and interregional transmission were considered. The results show that the distribution of wind resources and loads has a significant impact on stabilizing the system fluctuations caused by wind power fluctuation, the significant difference in net load is the main factor leading to the increase of flexible resource demand.
