Power Plant Combustion Control System Based on Digital Twin Technology

With the rapid development of Digital Twins (DTs) technologies, Digital Twins technologies have provided solutions for the thermal power combustion process control experiment carried out in universities. DTs can realize the fusion of physical information inside complex systems such as the combustion process control system of thermal power generating units. In this paper, the combustion process control system is used as the research object and its twins are established on the Networked Control System Laboratory (NCSLab). This paper proposes the five-dimensional model of DTs of the combustion process control system, which are the physical model, data, service, connection, virtual model. According to the DTs of the combustion process control system, the demand analysis and technical analysis are carried out, designs a virtual 3D model. According to the digital twin system, the paper conducts control experiment on the combustion process and compares the offline simulation, which provides the feasibility for future research on driving the virtual 3D model with industrial real-time data.
