Study on the Causes of Forced Outage Despite Passing MOA Routine Pre-test and Its Solution Measures

In the field of power transmission and transformation, there have always been pain and difficulties: failures still occur after the MOA passes the routine pre test, leading to forced outage, and the low detection rate of latent failures leads to heavy losses. What is more difficult is that most of the MOAs are seriously damaged after accidents, and it is difficult to study the reasons for optimizing the management of MOA in its full life cycle. This paper selects 8727 representative MOA samples, changes the temporal and spatial density and technical dimension of MOA state perception, and continues to carry out the "5-year follow-up study" project, so as to capture the "positive samples" of latent faults that cannot be detected by the traditional technical supervision mode in advance, and then promptly cut off the power to conduct anatomical research and statistical analysis. The study found that the reason why the failure still occurred after passing the routine pre-test was that the coverage dimension of state awareness technology was not comprehensive enough, and the spatial and temporal density of some state awareness items was not precise enough, which led to the failure of MOA latency to be detected in time. Finally, a new optimization scheme for condition monitoring was formulated and "3-year application verification" was carried out through actual production. The verification shows that this study can significantly reduce the forced outage rate of MOA, and provides a very valuable reference and guidance for MOA condition based maintenance.
