Research on the Application of Oil Film Condition Monitoring of Unit Bearing Bush Based on Stress Wave Technology

Once the bearing bush of the generator unit is damaged, it will cause unexpected equipment shutdown or serious safety accidents. At present, the fault monitoring of the bearing bush mainly focuses on vibration and temperature detection. Based on high-frequency sensors and various data processing methods, the stress wave technology can realize the fault monitoring of ultra-early equipment faults. The stress wave sensor collects the friction and impact signals generated by the equipment operation. When the oil film of the bearing bush is unstable, the friction amount will increase. Using this feature, this paper studies the effectiveness of the stress wave technology in the monitoring direction of the oil film condition of the generator unit bearing pad. It has been proved by several application cases that the stress wave technology can indeed extract fault characteristics when the oil film condition of the bearing bush is poor, and can guide the adjustment of the oil temperature to realize the optimization of the oil film condition.
