An Off-Center Correction Measurement Method for ICV Antenna

An off-center correction method is proposed for the antenna performance test of Intelligent Communication Vehicle (ICV). Firstly, a method of antenna performance tested in the vehicle condition is designed by the Spherical Near-Field measurement method and with the large-size characteristic of vehicle being taken into account. Since the car is too heavy to move and the vehicle antenna distribution is complicated, the tested antenna installed on the vehicle is difficult to move to the center of Spherical Near-Field, which heavily degrades the measurement accuracy. Thus, in order to deal with the problems of distance and angle deviation caused by off-center test, an off-center correction method consist of spatial attenuation and angle deviation correction is proposed to reduce the influence of off-center test on the experimental results. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation and experiment test.
