Homeschooled for much of her adolescence, Amy K. Jones was used to doing things on her own. So, when she got to college, she looked sideways at formal networking efforts, finding them “a little silly.” But when the current display product manager at John Deere and IEEE Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Board member found herself adrift in the workforce, it was the networking community she turned to, learning what a difference the culture and environment you surround yourself with can make.
