Design Of DC To AC Converter For Voltage Sag Compensation Application Using PV Array

A Vast Development of Electronic Sector and increase in population creates power demand across worldwide, private Organization and government sectors deploys various techniques to reduce power demand. One technique to save power issues is by supplying power with good quality. Voltage sag at power transmission line occurs due to inductive load cause power quality issues, many industries with high inductive load are facing this issue. To overcome the voltage sag issue compensation techniques are used. Some compensation techniques include super capacitors and DC batteries are currently used. The voltage sag in transmission line can also be compensated using solar energy. On the other hand, solar energy is the renewable energy sources which is available abundantly across world. Each sector tries to utilize solar energy for their application. Government also insists people and organization to use solar resource as it is pollutant free or environment friendly.This paper proposed the design of DC to AC converter for compensation of single-phase reactive load in Industry level application. Two modes of operation are discussed here; one is compensating voltage directly through PV panels when sun radiation is available (forward mode) other one is compensation voltage by DC battery when sunlight is not available (reverse mode). Both cases are simulated for resistive load using MATLAB 19.b and the results are discussed.
