Abstract:

In this paper, an attempt is made to study two-stage flow shop scheduling having transportation time and weightage of jobs under no idle constraint. The goal is to achieve the sequence of the most efficient jobs so that the machine has no idle time, lowering the rental costs. The algorithm proposed here is straightforward to comprehend and serves as a crucial tool for the decision-maker. The reliability of the presented algorithm is investigated with a numerical example.
