A Novel System for Fall Detection in the Elderly

This manuscript uses an ensemble model which combines four machine learning models, namely KNN (K-Nearest Neighbors Algorithm), Deep LSTM (Long Term Short Memory), SVM (Support Vector Machine), and Decision Tree to detect instability and fall of the human percept under observation. On detecting a fall, a quick call and message are sent by the system via Twilio API (Application Programming Interface) to the registered care provider for immediate first aid and treatment. An appropriate system has been simulated and tested to verify the reliability and robustness of the proposed model. Details of the same have been laid in the manuscript. This will thus ensure that the injured person will get the treatment on time.
