Wind Turbine Integrated Generator Rectifier System with Fuzzy Logic Controller based on MPPT

Offshore wind turbines have high popularity because it generates more energy compared to onshore and it also very useful to maintain better aquatic and weather conditions. Having an aspiring Levelized cost of energy is big task because offshore turbines require better power conversion systems which is acquired by the use of combined system i.e., combination of both permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) and rectifier system. The rectifier system consists of one active rectifier and several passive rectifiers. Because of passive rectifiers which are uncontrollable, it is challenging to get required maximum power. In this paper, a new fuzzy logic controller (FLC) based MPPT architecture is proposed. The proposed method acquires maximum power (MPPT) by the analysis of d-axis current which is generated by FLC. The results are evaluated by MATLAB/Simulink Source.
