A New Quasi-Linear Multilevel Inverter with Reduced Sources and Components

This article presents a quasi-linear multilevel inverter (QLMLI) that has been developed. Most recently developed multilevel voltage source inverter topologies are distinguished by their ability to lower the quantity of dc source and vastly improving the voltage levels with fewer switching devices. Relying on the aforementioned, this work proposes a novel arrangement of inverters that, including the use of just 3 dc sources with Twelve switches, can provide 19-level waveforms of the output voltage. The higher range of voltage levels contributes to the production of a good quality, sine-wave output signal with low total harmonic distortion (THD). Multicarrier Phase disposition (MPD) with sine reference is employed in pulse width modulation technique to produce gating signal for obtaining high-quality output waveform. Various simulation and hardware findings are also being reported to further evaluate the precise effectiveness of the suggested configuration under diverse loading circumstances.
