A Comparative Study between Encryption Algorithms in Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is the fastest-growing technology that aims to provide software, hardware, bandwidth, and virtualized resources more easily and cheaply via the internet. In addition to storing massive amounts of data, cloud computing is also a method of providing IT services on demand and pay per consumption. There is a critical need for the security of this information. The goal of encryption research is to identify and implement strategies that ensure data integrity during transmission. Symmetric and asymmetric algorithms, both employed for security purposes, are two types of cryptographic protocols. In this study, we examine the differences between symmetric and asymmetric algorithms and evaluate their relative efficiency. Three algorithms-RSA, AES, and DES-are used to do this. In this simulation, we have used the initial file size, encryption time, and decryption time as our simulation parameters. This simulation accepts jpeg, mp3, and mp4 files as well as pdf and docx documents as input.
