Antenna Design and Near-field Regulation of RFID Reader System for Luggage Tracking

In this paper, an RFID reader machine is proposed for luggage tracking in airports working on the UHF band. In order to further improve the identification accuracy, a regulation method is studied based on four groups of antenna arrays inside the proposed machine by controlling excitation phases and incentive status of four groups of antenna arrays. Through electromagnetic simulation, the internal electric field distribution under different working conditions is discussed, and the most suitable situation for airport luggage tracking is pointed out.
