Investigation on the low-speed target detection with frame accumulation based on an X band phased array

This paper is investigated based on an X-band pulse Doppler radar, which can detect various targets, including UAVs(unmanned aerial vehicles), birds, ships, etc., and analysis their position and speed information. However, the platform can't meet the requirements of large airspace coverage and high speed resolution at the same time, and there is a hidden danger of processing timeout. In order to solve these two problems, the frame accumulation technology is proposed and used in the platform, which can meet the requirements of large airspace coverage and high-speed resolution at the same time. This platform can reach the elevation coverage of 60° and the speed resolution of 0.7m/s at most. In this platform, the problem of processing timeout is improved, as well as high data rate, and more freely arrange the waveform parameters of the search strategy to meet the detection requirements of different environments.
