A Pole-Residues Tracking Technique for Parametric Modeling of Metasurfaces Design

A pole-residues tracking technique for parametric modeling of metasurfaces is proposed in this paper. The vector fitting technique is used to obtain the pole-residues corresponding to the electromagnetic behaviors. A new pole tracking technique and an improved pole-residual splitting method were proposed to solve the chaos and order variation of pole sequence in modeling process. The neural network is used to learn the non-linear relationship between the physical parameters and the corresponding pole-residues vector. After the training process of the neural network, the proposed model can be used to accurately and rapidly predict the electromagnetic behavior of metasurfaces with different geometric parameters. Finally, a wideband 3D frequency selective surface(FSS) is used as the example to prove the effectiveness of the proposed model.
