A miniaturized LTCC back cavity antenna

With the rapid development of wireless communication, the integration of equipment is getting higher, the antenna’s miniaturization has higher requirements. LTCC(Low temperature co-fired ceramic) has attracted the attention of antenna designers due to its characteristics such as high dielectric constant, high temperature resistance, low dielectric loss, high frequency and large Q factor character. LTCC’s multilayer technology and drilling technology facilitate the multilayer design and miniaturization of antenna. In this paper, LTCC’s material properties and technological advantages are used to design a miniaturized wide band and wide angle scanning back cavity antenna which can scan from -30° to +30° and work from 32GHz to 38GHz.
