Design and Development of Solar Powered Phase Shifted Full Bridge Converter for EV Charger

The increasing popularity of two and three-wheel Electric Vehicles (EVs) calls for the development of dependable and clean technology based charging stations. Most of the charging stations are fed from grid supply. However, true potential of EVs can be realized only through renewable energy based chargers providing the all-inclusive green solution. This paper explores the use of a Solar-powered Phase-shifted Full Bridge (PSFB) converter with Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) control, using a DSP TMS320F28379D for DC EV charger.
