Design and Analysis of Rake Receiver

Designing a high-end receiver with good performance is essential for better communication. Identifying the major challenges, considering them, and discovering a way to overcome them is crucial. In wireless communications, reception of transmitted signal at the receiver end is important with less bit-error. In Addition, one of the major challenges in wireless communication is the Multipath fading effect. In order to overcome this effect, the rake receiver is introduced. This paper discusses the design and analysis of Rake Receiver by considering Bit-Error Rate (BER). A comparison between Rake Receiver and Correlator Receiver using Cadence AWR tool is carried out. This platform enables designers to design and simulate the Receiver by using different parameters such as Bit Error Rate (BER). The proposed receiver is good in performance and easy to understand. The receiver’s performance is calculated by considering Bit-Error Rate (BER). Simulated outputs are presented in AWR.
