Video analysis of an ecological monitoring at 2022 spring using Deep-sea deployed camera (EDOKKO Mark 1 series) in the seabed of off Minamitori Island

Underwater video systems have been operated by many national research institutes and environmental research companies in recent years because they allow nondestructive, long-term observation of ecosystems. EDOKKO Mark 1 series are small deep-sea monitoring systems with a bait trap for feeding. In this study, we compared data from 1 year observation in 2019 and a 3 months observation in 2022 by EDOKKO Mark 1 in the deep-sea off Minamitorishima Island. A comparison of these results provides important suggestions for consideration of the installation period of the underwater imaging.
