Analysis of Technical Schemes for Restructuring of Signaling Systems in Urban Rail Transit

A compatible restructuring scheme of CBTC signaling systems is presented together with a scheme of engineering implementation and verification. The presentation is an integration of engineering, construction, commissioning, and operational safety aspects. It is made after analysis of restructuring requirements of signaling systems of existing projects and caters for such scenarios as one-shot renovation & restructuring of the whole line, by-section renovation & restructuring of the whole line, addition of new trains, construction of extensions, etc. The solution applied in actual projects of restructuring of an existing line, connection of an extension as well as addition of new trains will provide reference and model for technical solutions of restructuring to signaling systems for existing lines.
