Methods of Improving the ATP Cut-off Control Circuit for Urban Rail Transit Vehicles

In view of operation fault caused by poor performance of an ATP cut-off switch on trains for many times in some projects, through in-depth analysis of the cause of the fault, it is found that the design of an ATP cut-off control circuit has certain defects in the interface, which may cause relevant outputs of the signaling system such as braking and traction to be bypassed, which does not conform to the fail-safe principle. Therefore, an improved and optimized scheme for the ATP cutoff control circuit is proposed. Starting from the basic principle of ATP cut-off circuit of a signaling system and the vehicle interface, this paper briefly analyzes the basic design and shortcomings of current ATP cut-off control circuits, and puts forward an optimized control method of an ATP cut-off control circuit. The optimized control method of an ATP cut-off circuit has been tested on one particular project. The test result is qualified, which verifies the availability and effectiveness of the optimized ATP cut-off circuit control method.
