Design and Development of a Wireless Condition Monitoring System Biased Using Through Wall Power Transfer Technique

Condition monitoring is essential for protection and scheduling maintenance of critical systems such as in biomedical research, chemical and pharmaceutical industries without any human intervention. A wireless sensor system has been proposed here to measure the inside temperature and humidity continuously along with monitoring health/status of the enclosed system. It is powered (biased) using through-wall power transfer technique. The resonance frequency is around 17.473 kHz, estimated using COMSOL Multiphysics and validated using Siemens Impact test setup. The measurement is performed experimentally, where maximum power of 36 mW is transferred, and further collected using the EH300 module.
