Information Security Issues and Challenges: Perspective of Industry 4.0 Paradigm

Security threats are one of the most common problems organizations face in this era. All systems that rely on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are vulnerable to design flaws, malfunctions, and vulnerabilities that malicious software and agents exploit. When security flaws were first dis- covered, the major priority was to implement ICT controls that are appropriate to safeguard linked company assets. Controlling and protecting access to the system and network resources, event capturing and reporting, auditing, and managing the information connected to these operations and activities according to policies are all part of security management. The major challenges that are faced in terms of cyber-security are data sensitivity, data handling methods, interoperability, etc. However, following several data breaches, governments throughout the globe were driven to adopt a sort of uniformity. This paper aims to analyze different threats faced by Information and Telecommunication industries. These threats that are faced by the industries can only be resolved with the help of the actions that are taken by the government by following certain frameworks. It also discusses the methods, general security objectives, aspects of security management, and threats that are caused majorly over the years. So, it helps the security aspect and adapts smoothlyto emerging trends.
