100 Watts-Class 340GHz TM31 mode Extended Interaction Klystron

The 0.34 THz extended interaction klystron (EIK) design method in TM31 mode with peak power greater than 100W is introduced. Compared with the TM

mode, the TM31 mode will significantly increase the cavity structure and reduce the processing difficulty. In the 3-D particle-in-cell(PIC) simulation, the output power of 113.4 W is produced. The gain, electronic efficiency, and 3dB bandwidth are 39.4 dB, 2.17%, and 300 MHz, respectively.
