Resarching on urban radio wave transmission Attenuation

In this paper, a widely applicable radio wave propagation attenuation prediction model is developed, which through researching the effects of different factors on radio wave propagation in urban. Firstly, the effects of different terrain and buildings on radio wave propagation are investigated, and the corresponding radio wave propagation models are established respectively. And then, a novel model was developed for the very high frequency(VHF) communication band which using actual terrain conditions. Finally, the attenuation prediction was completed, and compared with the attenuation data of Hata model and Winprop software simulation for analysis to prove the accuracy of the model. The model is a theoretical guide to the establishment of emergency communication channels and the further development of signal coverage prediction software.
