Design and Heat Control Analysis of an Ultrawideband All-Metal Vivaldi Phased Array

A dual-polarized all-metal Vivaldi array with element dimension of
$0.56\lambda_{h}\times 0.61\lambda_{h}$
is presented. For active VSWR
$< 3$
, this infinite array obtains a 3:1 bandwidth when scanning to
$35^{\circ}$
at Phi-0° plane and
$45^{\circ}$
at Phi-45° plane. Based on this modular antenna unit, a
$16\times 16$
finite array is established. Radiation patterns are simulated. Additionally, these effective elements in the phased array system are fed by high power T/R modules. Thus, hot control analysis is carried out.
