The Research of the Fast DC Bus Control System Based on Non-isolated Bi-directional DC/DC Controller

The pulse loads, such as radar or sonar which work in a period of milliseconds, are a challenge to traditional DC/DC converters, so there is a need of the kind of Boost/Buck bidirectional converter to keep the DC bus voltage stable and minimum the voltage ripple at the same time. The Boost/Buck converter takes as a voltage filter, and to analyze and design this converter as a voltage filter, in this paper, the averaged model and small-signal model of the bidirectional DC/DC converter are established. Based on the proposed model, the dynamic and steady-state characteristics of the system are analyzed. On the basis of system stability, the traditional PID control is improved, and the nonlinear PID is used to significantly improve the dynamic characteristics of the system. An experimental prototype was built. The validity of the model and controller is verified by simulation and experiment.
