Self-Directed Learning Optimisation Toolkits for Electronics and Electrical Engineering Students

The organisation of self-directed foreign languages learning for the undergraduates in electronics and electrical engineering as a way of increasing their potential to adapt to the increasingly changing world is considered in the paper. The principal approaches to the content and selection of learning materials as well as available online education tools used by the authors during the two-year period of distance and blended learning are analysed. A toolkit based on the Padlet dashboard and used to generate a wide range of projects related to the English for specific purposes is given as an example of optimized students’ self-directed activities.
