Assessment of Information Capacity of Compressed Video Sequences for Information Security Systems

During the exponential increase in online video streaming services, the development of information concealment technologies directly depends on video encoding and is essential for video streaming companies. The structure of the video remains to contain areas invisible to humans and can be used to conceal prohibited content. Steganography is a science exploring various methods of hiding information in multimedia objects, which should remain undetectable both statistically and for human perception. A large variety of video content can be used as a container to conceal information from unauthorized viewers. To solve this problem, the current research focus is on finding areas, where information can be hidden, or, in other words, areas inaccessible to human perception. The conference work proposes a new method and hardware-software system for creating a new assessment of the information capacity of compressed video sequences for information security systems, which would allow providing recommendations for the protection and detection of prohibited information in the network.
