Modeling an Efficient Storage Method Information Based on Unary Coding

The study is devoted to the development of an effective lossless data compression method based on unary coding. In previous materials, the fundamental possibility of hardware implementation of encoding based on encoders and decoding based on decoders was shown. The presented materials provide an algorithm for the software implementation of the proposed method of information compression. Based on the proposed algorithm, software has been developed that allows creating a model of mutually orthogonal unary codes. Mathematical calculations of the practical feasibility of the proposed method are given, which are confirmed by the model. A program written in Octave, which is a freely distributed analogue of the proprietary application package MatLab, is presented. It is shown that the sequences used in the method of unary information coding are mutually orthogonal. This property, revealed in the process of research, makes it possible to implement the proposed method.
