Economic Evaluation of Supplying a Hotel by DGs in the condition of Khuzestan Province Using Sensitivity Analysis

In this paper, the impact of various variables on consumption of a typical hotel in the conditions of Khuzestan province is studied. These variables are diesel fuel price and its limitation, expected inflation rate, nominal discount rate, carbon dioxide (CO2) emission penalty, and annual capacity shortage. Also, the effect of temperature on photovoltaic panels (PVs) is considered. Cases are studied using HOMER software and the impact of each of the mentioned variables on economic parameters like net present cost (NPC) and cost of energy (COE), is presented. It is observed that with the increase in fuel prices, consideration of restrictions on fuel supply and presence of penalty for the emission of CO2, the use of renewable sources is economic. Also, with the rise in percentage of annual capacity shortage and fall in inflation rate and the discount rate, the total cost of the project decreases.
